I'll post pictures soon, but I still can't believe that Robert is now officially a 5 year old. He has a good birthday, with a party at school and out to dinner with the family. He got all his food requests, from pancakes and sausage for dinner to a whale shaped ice cream cake with chocolate ice cream. It is nice that he can express his desires and wants better every year.
He also was very spoiled with gifts. He got his first 2 wheeled bike. And is looking forward to riding it. Jonathan wants one too now. (Jonathan kept trying to climb on his brother's bike.) Along with other fun gifts from family.

Kindergarten Registration Already!!!!
I can't believe that Robert is big enough to be getting ready for Kindergarten. I have registration for him this week. It seems like just yesterday he was coming home from the hospital. We decided to do the private Kindergarten at his current daycare. I love the center and feel like it is a the best choice for us. It is a full day program, the public school is half day. And there is no after-care at the public. And the centers I interviewed prior to moving don't pick kids up. So I would have to go get him from school and drop him off somewhere. (Not necessarily the center we are at now either.)
Besides School, Robert is now doing Tae Kwon Do, and is looking forward to earning his first belt. He was upset that he wasn't getting one when his friends did, but we had just signed up the week before, so there was not chance of it.

Walking continued
Here is a quick video of Jonathan walking with the car toy. He is getting so fast with it. Although he has not repeated walking unassisted since the first time, but he is standing all by himself more and more. He is so cute. He sometimes forgets that he is not holding on. The funniest is when he falls down to a crawl position on purpose, so that he can chase Robert.

Walking
Jonathan is getting braver and braver when it comes to walking. He practically runs behind his walk behind toy. And two days ago he decided to take his first steps. He walked to me from the train table. It took me a minute to realize that he actually walked. At this rate he will be running next month when we visit CA.

Cruising
Jonathan started walking around the train table, and it hasn't stay just there. He can do the corners on this toy table, and now pulls up on anything he can. He is getting braver and braver. I am scared how soon he will start walking.
Saturday, I had him standing without holding my hands. HE was kind of leaning on my legs, but not much. Soon he will figure out his balance and it will be game over. He will be running very soon after.
At least, he crawled first. So I am getting used to mobile Jonathan.

Disappear
This is Robert's version of Peek-A-Boo, he covers Jonathan with a blanket and shakes his finger and exclaims "Disappear". Then pulls the blanket off Jonathan, if Jonathan hasn't already done it. Jonathan thinks it is fun, and laughs and waits for Robert to repeat the game.
I am just so glad they like to play together and that Robert finds ways to play nicely with his brother. When Robert is done playing with Jonathan, he will go to the far side of the playroom and play with his big boy toys. (Not sure how much longer that will last now that Jonathan is crawling.)
